One-Time Cleanup Safety Guidelines
As much as we value our state’s beauty, we value our citizens even more. Please review the following safety procedures before each cleanup.
1. Please review the safety guidelines prior to each cleanup.
2. Everyone participating must wear an orange safety vest at all times. Long sleeves, long pants, leather shoes or boots suggested.

3. Don't handle discarded syringes/needles, car batteries,chemicals, dead animals and so on. Inform the leader of your group if you do.

4.Work on one side of the highway at a time facing traffic.
5. Take along cell phone if you have one. A first aid kit should be available at each site.

6.Take frequent breaks,  drink water,and take steps to prevent sunburn.
8.Be careful not to step or kneel in areas where there might be hidden broken glass.
9. Be alert to react to traffic .
10.Do not pick up trash from the pavement.

11. Stay at least four feet away from the pavement.

Do not engage in horseplay.
